Chincha Baby Alpaca and Silk Scarf

$90.00
sold out

Baby Alpaca & Silk scarf inspired by the textile art of the Nazca Culture (100 BC to 800 AD) The Nazca are also known for their technically complex textiles. The textiles were most likely woven by women at habitation sites from spun cotton and wool. Textiles were woven with the common motifs earlier than they appeared painted on pottery. Their Pottery and Textiles were characterized by beautiful polychrome designs.

Nazca Culture was also known by the geoglyphs of Nazca or "Nazca Lines", that are a series of geometric shapes, miles of lines, and large drawings of animal figures (some as large as a football field) constructed on the desert floor in the Nazca region. You will find some of these beautiful patterns in this piece.
